The most explosive case in American politics in recent days has been the New York Post’s alleged revelations about the Biden family’s corruption, based on information found on what is believed to be a laptop belonging to Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

The case was the front page of the New York Post’s paper edition on Wednesday, October 14, and was published at 11.00 Norwegian time this day. Within a short time, it became the big talking point in the US, which led to Facebook and Twitter deciding to start censoring and coaching traffic to the case.

It would be almost 14 hours before NTB reacted to the most talked about political news in the US, which wrote a case only when they could hook it on Twitter’s sensational blocking of links to New York Post’s cases on the subject.

Thursday 15 October at At 00.56, NTB published a summary of the case which contained the following statement:

Experts also say that the allegations are untrue, and their origin has been questioned.

On the morning of this day, I sent an e-mail to NTB, NRK, TV 2, Aftenposten and Startsiden where I ask them to document the background to the allegation “experts say that the allegations are untrue”.

Who are these experts NTB refers to, and how have they been able to conclude that the allegations are untrue, given that they do not have access to the New York Post’s documentation?

I did not get an answer to that.

NRK responded and changed

The only one who answered was NRK’s ​​Kristian Aanensen: “You are absolutely right that our readers should know who this is and what they mean.”

NRK’s ​​case was then changed – by simply removing the sentence about the experts. Obviously, NRK’s ​​readers should not know who these mysterious experts were – or what they meant.

Then I wonder: Why will NTB and everyone who used their case not answer who these experts are, and what their conclusion about the allegations to the New York Post is based on?

On Friday 16 October, NTB will publish a new article on the case, which no longer refers to these “experts”, but claims:

There is no documentation for the allegations, and Biden rejects them.

The New York Post thus refers to e-mails found on a laptop that were allegedly left by Hunter Biden at a PC repair shop in Delaware last year. Biden’s people have not yet denied that the PC belonged to Hunter Biden, nor have they denied that the emails are genuine.

Nevertheless, NTB claims that “there is no documentation”.

Even a little weirder

It gets even weirder when NTB in the same case writes: “The article was based on emails from the PC of Biden’s son Hunter, which Rudy Giuliani is said to have had access to. Giuliani is Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, and it is not known how he obtained the emails. “

The emails come from Hunter Biden’s PC, just like they wrote in the previous sentence? Nor is there anything mysterious about how Giuliani obtained the information, as the New York Post explained from the outset.

– Before the repairman handed over the equipment to the FBI in December, he made a copy of the hard drive and gave a copy to Rudy Giuliani’s lawyer, Robert Costello. Steve Bannon, Trump’s former adviser, tipped the New York Post about this in late September and Giuliani gave the New York Post a copy on Sunday, the New York Post wrote.

When NTB then writes “it is not known how he got hold of the emails”, this is refuted by the article they write about. Has NTB actually read the case to the New York Post? Or was it most important to reject all the information in it, even if one has to fabricate allegations?

The New York Post has for several days published more and more information coming from Hunter Biden’s PC, including personal photos and messages to family, which it is difficult to understand how they would otherwise have obtained if it were not Biden’s PC.

Nevertheless, NTB casts doubt on whether the documentation exists at all.

Biden rejects the allegations – but not the documentation of them

Biden denies allegations that his son used his influence as vice president to set up meetings with business associates and obtain financial benefits, and that some of the money has been returned to Joe Biden – but Biden does not deny that the documentation showing this is genuine.

• Why does NTB go further than Biden’s own people in opposing the New York Post’s documented claims?
• Why will NTB not document which experts they believe have said that the allegations are untrue?
• Why will NTB not document how these alleged experts have come to such a conclusion?

This is the most strange behavior of Norway’s most central communicator of foreign news to the Norwegian media.

Either NTB has invented these “experts”, or they are trying to hide that these “experts” are actually biased supporters of Biden who can not document that the claims of the New York Post are untrue.

NTB’s owners – Amedia, NRK and Aftenposten – should be very concerned about how their news agency manages its power and influence in the coverage of the US presidential election.

It is difficult to understand why NTB tries to protect Biden more than even his own election campaign staff and lawyers do.
