A GUNMAN reportedly wearing a bomb vest was shot dead by police officers near Paris after allegedly beheading a school teacher with a knife.
The victim is said to have been a history teacher who previously upset parents by showing students cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.

The alleged terrorist who allegedly called Allahu Akbar at the time was reportedly an 18-year-old Chechen man who was born in Moscow.
He was believed to be angry that the kids had been shown the cartoons.
A source told Le Parisien: “The victim recently taught his students a lesson on freedom of expression and showed the caricatures of Muhammad.”
It resulted in a parent confronting the teacher with a kitchen knife before cutting off his head, the source said.
The first bloodbath took place on Friday near a school in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, a suburb about 40 km from the center of the French capital.

Witnesses watched the man behead his unnamed victim – who was also male – in broad daylight near a school.
Officers rushed to the scene after the alarm went off and watched the killer run towards Eragny.
At around 7 p.m., the site of the alleged murder and the place where the murderer himself was shot had been cordoned off.
Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin “went to the site of the attack,” said a spokesman for his ministry, who also confirmed this as a terrorist investigation.
If it is confirmed that it was a terrorist incident, today’s incident would be the 33rd terrorist attack in France since 2017.
It follows a terrorism investigation launched in Paris last month after two news agency employees were stabbed to death outside the former offices of Charlie Hebdo – the magazine that murdered employees in 2015 after publishing cartoons mocking the Prophet has been.
The people on trial are between 29 and 68 years old and have the task of logging the terrorists with cash, weapons and vehicles.
