EB Games Australia reported a pre-order error for PS5

A day after EB Games Australia contacted PS5 pre-order owners to let them know they’d be in the queue and receive their console on launch day, the retailer emailed some to let them know that the e -Mail was sent in error.

“We made a mistake with your PlayStation 5 order,” begins today’s email. “Yesterday you received a text message and an e-mail by mistake that you put in our queue.

“We regret to inform you that this is not the case and that you still have your original place in the queue (POST LAUNCH 2020 SHIPMENT). We would like to assure you that you still have a valid pre-order from EB Games. ”

EB Games apologized to users for “the extent of the error” and “for the confusion and disappointment … caused”.

Although we received several emails from readers who were heartbroken today, we also reached out to others who received the positive email yesterday and apparently were spared today. No reader who has received a similar email regarding the Xbox Series X has notified Stevivor that they received a new email today.

As always, it’s best to check your EB order history to see where you stand.

The Xbox Series X will hit shelves on November 10th, followed by the PS5 on November 12th.
