Kamala Harris cancels travel after corona infection in staff

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is said to have had no contact with any of the infected. However, Biden and Harris spent several hours together in Arizona on October 8th.

Vice presidential candidate Harris is scheduled to travel to North Carolina on Thursday, where she will attend events to encourage advance voting.

After two people with connections to Harris’ staff tested positive for the coronavirus, the senator has canceled all trips until Sunday.

One of the infected is a member of the crew on board a plane Harris uses. The other is Harris’ communications manager Liz Allen, writes CNN.

Harris has not been in what the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines as a close contact, Biden’s campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon said in a statement.

“Neither of these two have been in contact with Vice President Biden, Senator Harris or any other staff since they tested positive or 48 hours before the positive test results,” O’Malley Dillon said.

Kamala Harris has been tested for the coronavirus twice since October 8, and tested negative both times.
