Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Saeb Erekat received a cable of condolences for his nephew, Khaled Erekat, from the former head of Saudi intelligence, Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz.
Prince Bandar also wished the safety and speedy recovery of Saeb Erekat after he was infected with the new Corona virus.
For his part, Erekat offered sincere thanks to Prince Bandar for his condolences on the death of his nephew, as well as his deep gratitude for his calls for recovery from the Corona virus.
On October 8, Erekat announced that he had been infected with the new Corona virus.
A tweet on his Twitter account read: “The Secretariat of the Executive Committee of the PLO and the Department of Negotiations Affairs announces that the Executive Secretary and Head of the Negotiations Department has been infected with the Coronavirus, and wishes him a speedy recovery. And she apologizes for canceling all his appointments until his full recovery.”
