Researchers working in Nova Scotia waters in Canada have discovered a huge white shark weighing 3,541 pounds and measuring 17 feet and two inches long and aged fifty years.
Scientists from OCEARCH, a non-governmental organization that labels and sampled white sharks, described the female shark as the “queen of the ocean,” and say they named her Nokomi. According to Russia Today.
OCEARCH also released a video showing Nokomi lying on a private submersible platform built on the side of her research ship with researchers around, then swimming away.
