The US Army announced that it is working in cooperation with the “SpaceX” company to develop a missile to transport goods, equipment and weapons to anywhere in the world within one hour through space.

General Stephen Lyons of the US Transportation Command explained that the first steps in the project will include an assessment of the costs and potential challenges that will have to be overcome in order to deliver goods globally within one hour.

SpaceX previously demonstrated the ability to land vertically and reuse missiles to support its Falcon 9 system on aircraft carriers.

These missiles will provide a strategic advantage, as flying into space does not require any permissions from states, which means that the US military will be able to transport any payload at a tremendous speed and without the need for states’ permission to cross their airspace.
