Pop star and fashion designer Rihanna has apologized after modeling for her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty, which included a song with an Islamic honorable speech, sparking a violent reaction online.
The 32-year-old singer used the song “Doom” by producer and singer Coco Chloe, from London, which includes translation and performance of an Islamic hadith.
In a statement posted to her stories on “Instagram” on Tuesday, Rihanna said that choosing the music to display the lingerie was “completely irresponsible,” adding that she was “extremely disappointed” at the harm done “to many of our Muslim brothers and sisters.”
The Barbados-born star said she did not intend to be hostile to followers of any religion.

The show aired by Amazon Prime on October 2, and saw the models dancing on a speedy version of the song while wearing the lingerie brand, which won praise for its “diversity.”

The song was designed using excerpts from Baile Funk tracks that I found online. At the time, I was not aware that these samples used text from an honorable hadith. She added that she did not search these words correctly.
Chloe pledged to remove the song “urgently” from all streaming platforms.
