Dr. Maryam Matar, President of the Sheikh Zayed Center for Genetic Research, stressed the importance of caring for senior citizens, relieving them, integrating them into the society in which they live, and curbing the social and psychological changes they are going through.
She stressed the center’s keenness to include genetic surveys and examinations carried out for the most prevalent diseases in the UAE, including blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease, senior citizens.
