Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - The UAE and Israel are set to sign an historic peace accord on Tuesday at a ceremony at the White House.

The ceremony comes weeks after the two nations agreed to normalise relations in return for the suspension of the annexation of the occupied Palestinian territories.

The UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, arrived in Washington on Sunday night with a high-level delegation. US President Donald will host the signing ceremony in the presence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The signing ceremony is due to begin at 12pm Eastern Time (8pm UAE).
