"I lost my phone and since I couldn't find it, I was like 'Hey Siri, call 911'. And once Siri called, that's when I found my phone finally," Salcedo said. The call was answered by firefighters from nearby Mason City, who pulled Salcedo out of the jeep's window.
"You're going to have to walk out. I'll be right there with you holding on every step of the way," Mason City Fire Department's Lieutenant Craig Warner had told the teenager while rescuing him. Salcedo was treated for shock and discharged from hospital in three hours.
