Home and Away Spoiler – Who is Witness X in Colby?

Home and away Spoilers follow from episodes at the Australian pace that some UK readers may prefer to avoid.

Home and away broadcast Colby Thorne’s fall – and ruthless detective Angelo Rosetta has a mysterious witness to thank for it.

In the aftermath of that week on Australian screens, Colby was finally arrested for the murder of his abusive stepfather, Ross Nixon. Angelo decided to take action after someone came forward to bring new evidence against Colby.

Home and away The bosses did not reveal the identity of the person concerned and only billed them as the highly mysterious “Witness X”. But can we round up the clues to find out who cheated on Colby?

1. Dean Thompson

Why could it be him: Dean and Colby’s once rock-solid friendship has come under serious pressure this year, which has slowly undermined the trusting relationships between them. Dean also blames Colby in part for foiling his plan to flee to Queensland with Jai, which later gave Amber the opportunity to do her own missing act with the boy.

Dean was also previously offered a deal by Angelo, who pledged indulgence for his role in Ross’ death if he cooperated. Much to Colby’s concern, Dean seemed to consider the offer.

Why can’t it be him: Dean was right by Colby’s side when the corrupt cop shot Ross and helped him bury the body. Since he was closely involved and had committed a serious crime himself, Dean would be taking a huge risk for his own future by working with the police regardless of Angelo’s promise.

River Boys are also suspicious of the police that we are reminded of in Home and away‘s “Witness X” trailer when Dean expresses his outrage over “a rat” tricking Colby into. Surely this isn’t just an act?

2. Bella Nixon

Why could it be her: Bella broke up with her brother this year as she is appalled at his gradual shift to the dark side. She has noticed eerie similarities between Colby’s behavior and the actions of her abusive father.

Even though Ross was angry, Bella never felt that his murder was anything to celebrate. She is also upset with Colby’s attempts to interfere in her relationship with Nikau, partly due to the hypocrisy of his frosty attitude towards the Paratas.

Why can’t it be her: Although there have been many arguments between Bella and Colby, she always seems to be loyal to him in the end. She knows that she and Colby can only rely on each other for family matters. in the Home and awayIn her trailer, she denies being responsible for the testimony.

Bella is also aware that Colby has taken great risks in the past to protect her, which could mean she would be reluctant to turn against him by making a statement to the police.

3. Willow Harris

Why could it be her: Willow played a distant role in Colby’s cover-up and wasn’t directly involved in Ross’s murder. This means that working with the police is less of a personal risk for them.

Willow was also visibly intrigued to learn that Angelo had offered Dean a deal. In particular, she vociferously defended Dean’s right to ponder the idea and think about what was right for him.

Why can’t it be her: Many of Willow’s storylines revolve around protecting her closest friends. Even for the past fortnight, she’s been helping Ziggy get rid of Tane’s stolen van full of shady gear.

Willow has always been loyal to Dean and Colby over the years, so breaking the Mangrove River crew’s code by speaking to the police would be a huge leap for them.

4. Nikau Parata

Why could it be him: Nikau has never been on good terms with Colby, who disapproved of Bella’s relationship with him from day one. Colby has also caused many problems for the Parata family, including blocking their passports and preventing them from traveling to New Zealand to post Mikaere. This devastated Nikau when he was deprived of the chance to say goodbye to his late father.

Most recently, Colby threatened to prevent Bella from joining Nikau for a new life in New Zealand. Could this have been the last straw for Nikau?

Why can’t it be him: Much like the River Boys, Nikau and the Parata family aren’t exactly known for their close relationship with the police. It would be atypical for Nikau to make an effort to cooperate with the authorities and to betray someone.

It’s also likely that Nikau would fear a backlash from Bella if he caused her brother more trouble if he knew how close they are.

5. Ziggy Astoni

Why could it be her: When Ziggy found out the truth about Ross’ murder, she revealed she disapproved of it by immediately dropping Dean off for his role in the cover-up. No matter how bad Ross was, Ziggy firmly believes that there is no excuse for murder.

Colby also got angry with Ziggy by visiting her house and threatening to keep quiet. Did Ziggy hold her time off before she got the same?

Why can’t it be her: Ziggy is still loyal to Dean despite their breakup and would be concerned about the consequences for him if she could come to terms with what she knows about Colby.

Ziggy wasn’t a witness to Ross’ murder either and only knows the truth from what Dean told her, which doesn’t necessarily have to be strong enough to be treated as a breakthrough in this case.

6. Mackenzie Booth

Why could it be her: As far as we know, Mackenzie doesn’t currently know the truth about Ross’ murder, however Home and awayThe trailer “Witness X” showed that this may change soon. This puts them on the suspect list.

Mackenzie is not a proponent of criminal activity and has previously tried to put the Parata family on the right track. So if shady deals and drug dramas aren’t floating on her boat, we can only imagine how she would feel about murder.

Why can’t it be her: Mackenzie doesn’t seem to know anything about Ross’s murder right now, while Angelo already has his testimony. This seems to rule out the Mac unless Home and away Bosses hold back a turn.

Mackenzie has shown her loyalty in the past too and may be reluctant to betray her brother Dean and ex-lover Colby.

7. Chelsea Campbell

Why could it be her: Although she is not there Home and awayChelsea have known Colby’s murderous secret since early 2019. This makes it possible that she could still be a wildcard in this mystery.

Chelsea attacked Colby when she knew he had killed Ross. So it’s clear that murder doesn’t really suit her. As a cop who loves doing things according to the book, Chelsea could have chosen to rescue Angelo from his misery by helping him complete his case.

For those who love clever pun, it’s also worth noting that Witness X could have a dual meaning since Colby and Chelsea were married. Could Witness X actually be Witness Ex?

Why can’t it be her: Chelsea is currently out of the cast and there has been no word of Ashleigh Brewer repeating her role. It would be a big surprise if Home and away Bosses had managed to bring them back without spoilers coming out in the media.

Home and away is broadcast on weekdays at 1:15 p.m. and 6 p.m. on channel 5, with first screenings at 6:30 p.m. on 5STAR.
