New Delhi, October 18 (IANS) In the first two quarters of the year, many Indians, including Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran and Bollywood actress Mouni Roy, were stranded overseas due to the pandemic. Now that places around the world are gradually opening up, filming of Indian films and shows in foreign areas has started again, but with precautionary measures.

One of the first big budget films to venture overseas was Akshay Kumar star “Bell Bottom”. The crew had long flown to Britain and only recently returned home.

Jackky Bhagnani, one of the movie’s producers, did not share minute details of the challenges he faced while filming amid the pandemic, but rather called it “a difficult period of filming.”

For web series, seems to be a hot favorite right now. The actors Angad Bedi and Sandeepa Dhar shot a special sequence for the upcoming web series “Mum Bhai” in the emirate.

Before Sandeepa left Mumbai earlier this month, she said she was quite concerned, although it eventually turned out to be a “smooth sail”.

“It was very pleasant from the start. It was very well organized, the whole review and audit system. It was a smooth sail. I felt safe. The shooting experience was also a bit breezy because the local crew supported me. They brought us home cooked food, “the actress told IANS.

Angad found shooting in Dubai a different experience. “We were tested further. We were tested (for Covid-19) before we left the country in Mumbai and as soon as we landed in Dubai we were tested at the airport. The report came in eight hours. One day we had to quarantine. The next day we started filming, “he told IANS.

“It was good to see how the people there kept social distance, everyone was wearing a mask. Even in places that were supposed to be crowded, there was a negligible amount. Even in stores, they were extremely careful, ”he added.

It was quite difficult for the crew to finish filming within the allotted time.

“Twelve hours in one day wasn’t enough, but we managed to pull off a lot of things. There was a desert safari and a belly dance sequence. We shot in a spice colony, in the Dubai Museum and at the bell tower. It was nice to see that even though it was so hot during the day, our crew put up with it and made sure we could do as much as possible in the 12 hours we were allotted in one day. It was a different kind of experience because that’s the new normal, “said Angad.

Actor Tanuj Virwani was also in Dubai a few weeks ago for two web shows, “7th Sense” and “Line Of Fire”.

“The situation in Dubai is much better than in India. The rules are very strict here. I can’t even leave my hotel room without a mask, otherwise I would get a fine, ”Tanuj had previously told IANS.

“The employees ensure that fewer and fewer people are on the sets. We have been given bands of different colors depending on which department we all belong to so that we maintain reasonable social distancing. The situation here is very well organized. ”He shared.

The actors Mouni Roy and Purab Kohli shot for the film “London Confidential” in London after the lockdown.

Not only Hindi films but also regional projects have started to travel to work on international destinations.

Last month, Bengali actor Saswata Chatterjee posted a photo on Instagram with his team in England.

“With friends who are like family! First class directors and fabulous actors! #Englanddiaries #filmingofAnusndhan #kamaleshwarmukherjee #churniganguly #joydeepmukherjee #priyankasarkar #riddhisen “, he wrote it.

Actor Ranvir Shorey can also be seen on social media, who recently tweeted a photo of him with his colleagues on the web show “Metro Park”. They began filming season two in New Jersey, USA earlier this month.
