MADRID – Below are some short news items from Spain, messages that appear in the Spanish newspapers and where no long articles can be written about but are interesting enough to report. Corona Update: 22,516 new positives and 347 corona deaths

MADRID – On Friday, November 6, 22,516 new positively tested people were added in a 24-hour period and 347 people died in Spain in the past 24 hours. This means that the total number of positives tested since the start of the corona crisis has risen to 1,328,832 positives. The total number of deaths has risen to 38,833. There are currently 20,209 patients with Covid-19 in hospitals, 2,833 of which are in intensive care, while 2,211 patients were able to leave hospitals in the past 24 hours. New corona measures Valencia region announced

VALENCIA- As expected, the regional government of the Valencia region announced on Friday several new measures to prevent further spread of the coronavirus. This includes the extension of the regional lockdown to November 13 and the local lockdowns of the municipalities of Elda and Petrer for 14 days. Furthermore, the catering industry, shops and shopping centers may still remain open, but the permitted capacity of people will be reduced, part of a package of measures that will apply until 9 December. 361 new positives and 5 corona deaths in Alicante province

ALICANTE – In de province Alicante Within the autonomous region of Valencia, 361 new positively tested people were added in 24 hours, bringing the total since the start of the corona crisis to 22,155 people. In the past 24 hours, 5 new corona deaths were also reported in the province of Alicante, increasing this total to 655 people. There are currently 462 covid patients in hospitals in the province of Alicante, 79 of which are in intensive care.

Curfew times adjusted in various regions

MADRID – Several regional governments have extended the curfew such as Aragón (until November 30), Castilla-La Mancha (until November 16), Navarra (until November 26), La Rioja (until November 29) and Basque Country (until November 30). The current curfew (between 11pm and 6am or 10pm or 6am or 6am) applies throughout Spain until November 9th. After that, the regional authorities themselves can decide whether to renew it. At least 21,776 corona deaths in retirement homes in Spain

If we look at the map of Spain, most of the elderly home residents have died in the Madrid region with 6,038 dead, followed by Catalonia with 4,245 dead, Castile and León with 3,011 dead and Castilla-La Mancha with 2,681 dead. In Aragón, the number of deceased elderly people is 1,009, followed by 945 deaths in Andalusia, 757 in the Basque Country, 632 in the Valencia region, 528 in Extremadura while this is ‘only’ 27 deaths in the Canary Islands and, 78 in Murcia and 181 in the Balearic Islands. .

Fewer positive people but more corona deaths in Madrid

MADRID – The regional health service of the Madrid region reported 2,347 new positively tested persons on Friday, November 6, which is less than the 2,612 reported on Thursday. However, the number of corona deaths in the region has risen slightly from 39 on Thursday to 41 on Friday. Due to these figures, the total number of positives since the start of the corona crisis has risen to 325,580 people in the Madrid region, while a total of 17,846 people have been killed. There are currently 2,227 covid patients in Madrid hospitals, 455 of whom are in intensive care.

Basque Country closes all catering establishments and brings the curfew to 10 pm

GASTEIZ – The regional government of the Basque Country (Pais Vasco) has decided to close all catering establishments in the autonomous region from next Saturday. Only the restaurants of the hotels are allowed to remain open to provide the customers with their meals. The same applies to the old people’s homes and shelters for the elderly in the region: curfews will be brought forward from the current 11 p.m. to 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and public transport will no longer run after 10:30 p.m. These new measures will apply for one month.

5,011 new positively tested individuals and 104 corona deaths in Catalonia

BARCELONA – In 24 hours the number of positive people tested in Catalonia by 5,011 persons to a total of 290,244 positives since the start of the corona crisis. Unfortunately, 104 people also died in 24 hours, so this sad figure has risen to 14,482 people in the autonomous region of Catalonia since the start of the corona crisis. There are currently 2,725 covid patients in hospitals, of which 471 are in intensive care.

Madrid region closes more areas and extended corona measures

MADRID – In Madrid region, the regional government has decided to close 9 additional areas or districts in the region, bringing the total to 41 areas. The residents of these districts are not allowed to enter and / or leave these areas for two weeks. The curfew is also extended between 00 and 6 o’clock in the Madrid region although no end date has yet been given. The region still chooses to implement temporary region ale lockdowns such as the current one until November 10th.

249 new positives and 4 corona deaths in the Balearic Islands

PALMA – The regional government of the Balearic Islands announced on Friday that 249 new positive test persons were added in 24 hours. 219 new positives were registered in Mallorca, 4 in Menorca and 26 positive in Ibiza. As a result, the total has risen to 19,970 positives since the start of the corona crisis. There have also been 4 corona deaths reported in the past 24 hours, increasing that total since the corona crisis to 379 people. In Mallorca there are 177 covid patients in hospitals, 40 of which are in intensive care, while that is 63 and 5 respectively in Ibiza and 7 and 3 in Menorca.

Corona figures Friday, November 6 Canary Islands

LAS PALMAS – On Friday, November 6, the Canarian authorities 170 new positively tested persons reported in 24 hours while 1 person died. This means that the total number of registered positively tested persons since the start of the corona crisis has risen to 18,116 of which there are currently still 5,040 active while a total of 293 people have died in the Canary Islands. there are 167 covid patients in the hospitals of which 38 in intensive care units on the different islands. Another 60 corona deaths in 24 hours in Andalusia and 4,627 positives

SEVILLA – In Andalusia authorities have reported a consecutive sad daily record of 60 corona deaths in 24 hours. 60 corona deaths were also reported on Thursday. In the last 24 hours, 4,627 new positive test takers were also reported in the entire autonomous community of Andalusia, of which 1,200 in Seville, 1,123 in Granada, Córdoba 515, Málaga 511, Cádiz 393, Jaén 386, Almería 257 and Huelva with 242 positives in 24 hours time. Of the 60 deceased covid patients, 11 died in the province of Granada, 24 in Jaén, 12 in Seville, 4 in Córdoba, 2 in Málaga, 6 in Cádiz and no corona deaths in Almería and Huelva.

For the first time more than 1,000 new positives in Murcia region

MURCIA – In the autonomous region Murcia has passed the limit of 1,000 new positive test persons in 24 hours for the first time. On Friday, 1,002 new positives were reported, bringing the total since the start of the corona crisis to 42,088 of which 12,142 are currently active. Unfortunately, 11 people have also been killed, increasing the total to 389 corona deaths since the start of the corona crisis. There are currently 595 covid patients in hospitals, 96 of which are in intensive care.
