Jodie Comer emotionally said goodbye to the cast and crew of The Last Duel as she completed filming in Ireland.

The 27-year-old Killing Eve star stars alongside Ireland’s new favorite resident Matt Damon, Adam Driver and Ben Affleck in the upcoming film.

And as she said goodbye to the crew working on Sir Ridley Scott’s historical epic this week, Comer admitted she had mixed feelings about the time she finished filming in Ireland.

The Liverpool-born actress posed for a picture with her makeup artist and other members of the crew and said, “Such mixed feelings …”

“Ecstatic to have finished this film under the circumstances, but also sad to say goodbye to the most wonderful people.”

Comer added, “Thank you to all of the cast and crew.”

All of a sudden Jodie pulled a face into the camera as she sat in front of a large plate of food and wine.

She later wrote, “Woke up early and had nowhere to be. No snacks are even more devastating. ”

Like her co-star Matt Damon, who enjoyed the Irish countryside while filming in various locations this summer, Jodie was also spotted bathing in the Irish Sea while in Ireland.

The award-winning actress shared a snap on Killiney Beach last month and said, “Thank you, Mil Ireland.”

Comer was also pictured on set with a mask next to her contemporary outfit as a coronavirus safety protocol.

The last duel takes place in France in the 14th century.

Affleck plays King Charles VI, while Damon appears as Knight Jean de Carrouges, who is ordered to resolve his dispute with his squire (driver) by challenging him to a duel.

Based on Eric Jager’s book of the same name, the screenplay for the film was written by Damon and Affleck, who had previously won an Oscar for their screenplay “Good Will Hunting”.

The film was originally due to be released in December before the pandemic delayed the Hollywood calendar.

It should now arrive in October 2021.
