“Late ’75 after his departure AC / DC We played together in a unique band called ‘Miss Australia Band‘Performing on a ferry on Lake Macquarie.
“I moved further south to Sunshine am See and Paul would stop by to relax whenever he was in the area. I remember he could always make me laugh when he was in the mood.
“After I left New South Wales, I lost touch with him, like many other people over the years.
“By all accounts, he lived a withdrawn life in his later years and his early rock and roll lifestyle resulted in poor health.
“He will be missed by everyone who knew him.”
Fink simply tweeted: “Another former AC / DC Musician has died: bassist Paul Matters. RIP, Kumpel #acdc „.
