The Haves and the Have Nots Recap: Season 7, Episode 18...

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Tuesday The haves and the have nots. If you’d rather watch first, read later, do like Hanna when she sees something sinful and go the other direction.

Pick up exactly where it was last week The haves and the have nots Tuesday’s episode started with Benny playing 20 questions with Derrick. Mind you, all 20 of those questions were, “Did you rap my mother?” When Derrick finally admitted he’d done it, Benny threw him to the ground. And that was kind of … well, that. It war technically a beatdown – Derrick scored a hit and went down. But when he refused to get up and fight, Hanna’s son told the former drug addict that he was no longer working for the Cryers and let him go without rearranging his face. Hmm … something tells me this won’t be their last showdown.

“THE MAN LIKES DANGER AND EDGE” | From there, “A Sixth Sense” cut off to Madison’s extremely awkward, extremely hilarious lunch with Jeffrey and Colby – which appeared to be the main course with the nurse. Colby was excited to reveal tidbits about Madison’s past (“Did you tell Jeffrey about your go-go dancing?”), But when he was alone with Jeffrey, he assured him that “he really likes you”. Still, after – a few dramatic pauses – Jeffrey Madison should ask “a few things”. Before they took off, Colby decided to teach Jeffrey’s homophobic mom a lesson by taking a dip in her pool. Colby even knew some guys who wanted to come over and help her “introduce some of the real gays.” Spoken like someone who has never met Veronica “Scary-Ass” Harrington! Speaking of which, she caught Samuel and Laura scribbling on their doorstep, but played it off. “I love love,” she lied.

Back at the Cryers Benny knocked on the door, to which Hanna replied so quickly that she must have been standing directly on the other side. After Benny revealed that he didn’t actually kill Derrick, he was amazed that his mother only let go of what had happened. Was there more than that? “Are you talking to this guy?” No, Hanna insisted. But then again, ”said the man, he has changed, Benjamin. If God says someone can change, who am I to not believe him? “Eh, a sane person who will eventually find out Derrick is going to rob Veronica blindly? Al the Accountant later showed up to teach Hanna everything she needed to know to manage Katheryn’s millions in one afternoon. Meanwhile, Landon tried Charles to book Candace for a number of talk shows in hopes of enabling a reunion with the president-elect. When Oliver made fun of the performance a little too loudly, Charles revealed that he had overheard and threatened the weasel. (I don’t know like Landon or Charles thinks this is going to happen!)

“EVERYONE KNOWS THE DEVIL” | Shortly thereafter, an intelligence agent provided Landon with photos of Oliver, who was meeting his cola dealer, the kiwi mercenary who shadowed Veronica for Jim, in a private strip of air. Why, Landon wondered, did Oliver put his drug supplier on his father’s plane? With this information, Landon definitely wanted to set a trap for his sparring partner. (Who he really could have fired only one scene before if he wanted to.) At the Iron Bone, Vinny and Sandy walked around again because the former was soft. When he challenged his uncle and found that Wyatt had stabbed him, but Wyatt still had a pulse, the new Don threw his nephew from his place and threw him out of the bar. “The only joke in this family,” he grumbled Sandy, “You are.” As the lesson ended, Colby raised a glass to “make a bad bitch bad” as he and Jeffrey set off with friends Trevor and Terry to cause a sensation at Veronica. (Um, mate, this nasty bitch is a lot of bad enough, thank you very much!)

Although the queen bee is very concerned about safety, the boys just went into their back yard and undressed except for one nervous Jeffrey. Normally she would have heard them, but she was busy reeling through a series of epics – and I mean Email! – Flashbacks of her tumultuous relationship with David. Outside, Colby eyed Samuel, who appears to be cleaning this pool around the clock for the duration of the season. Day, night, whatever – he’s there. When the guy refused to go to the boys pool party, Colby asked him to “tell that old bitch we are in her pool.” Once he did – let himself in (does Veronica never lock any doors?) – and ran out to be greeted by a pool of hot men. “Hey bitch, this is your welcome to the Real World Party,” said Colby. “There are gay people in the world – get used to it.” Instead, she went in to get a gun. Oh, Colby. Veronica is just too crazy to bother with it.
