The first pictures were released from the upcoming romantic drama Wild Mountain Thyme starring Emily Blunt and Jamie Dornan.

The two stars play neighbors in rural Ireland who become lovers and are then embroiled in a land dispute over a farm.

Filmed on location in County Mayo, the film promises beautiful scenery and excellence.

The Irish love story was written and directed by John Patrick Shanley and is based on his play Outside Mullingar.

The play debuted on Broadway in January 2014 with Debra Messing and Brían F. O’Byrne and received a Tony Award nomination for Best Play.

The cast of the film is rounded off by Christopher Walken and Jon Hamm.

Wild Mountain Thyme is slated to hit cinemas on December 11th and digitally upon request.

It’s the first time Blunt and Dornan have worked together, and in a recent interview with People, Blunt raved about the experience.

The Northern Irish born actor Dornan is sticking to his Irish roots on his next project.

The Fifty Shades star is filming Belfast for director Kenneth Branagh and the film is shot partly in Belfast and partly in England.

Described by Branagh as a semi-autobiographical drama, it revolves around a boy who grew up in Belfast in the late 1960s and starred in Judi Dench and Caitriona Balfe.

Meanwhile, Blunt has two more films in the can, slated for release next year.

She meets with her husband John Krasinski at A Quiet Place Pt II, which has now been postponed to April due to the pandemic, and Disney’s Jungle Cruise with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, due out in July.
