Director of the Remote Sensing Center at the Meteorological Authority in Egypt, Eman Shaker, said that the country has witnessed weather fluctuations since yesterday, and dusty winds began actively in most parts.
She explained that the weather fluctuations led to a significant decrease in horizontal visibility due to the blowing of the southwesterly winds coming from the Western Desert, which stirred up sand and dust.
She added, “We advise patients with respiratory system, chest and allergies not to leave homes, and to adhere to wearing masks.”
And Iman Shaker added, in a telephone interview with the media, Heba Maher, presenter of the 8 morning program broadcast on DMC: “The rain fell on many regions of the republic from the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, the cities of the Canal, and northern Upper Egypt, and the rain continues throughout the course of the year. Today, with the continued activity of the dusty winds.”
The Director of the Remote Sensing Center at the Meteorological Authority added that the rains will be of varying intensity, between medium and heavy, on the northern coasts, starting from Matrouh, Alexandria, Beheira, Damietta, Arish and Rafah, and will be from medium to heavy, accompanied by lightning, thunder and hail.
