“Al-Hussaini” appeared on the Nine Program on the Egyptian Channel One, to announce that he had Omicron, saying: “Without concern, I often have Omicron, but this is not the crisis, but the crisis is that I could not attend yesterday,” referring to his failure to attend the funeral of the Egyptian journalist Wael Al-Ibrashi.

And the Egyptian journalist appeared at the time of Al-Ibrashi’s death crying live on the air after knowing the news of the death, noting that the latter was his teacher.

Some saw that the appearance of the journalist with an omicron mutated is a disregard for human life, and a Twitter account bearing the name of Muhammad Shaheed wrote: “The journalist and member of Parliament Youssef Al-Husseini appeared on the air during his presentation of the ninth program on Egyptian television to announce with ease that he has omicron,” continuing: disregard for human life.”

While Ahmed Samir wrote on Twitter: “Youssef Al-Husseini announces that he has corona or micron on the air; from inside a studio with regular employees and workers; not on one of the state’s channels.”

While some demanded that the Egyptian media be held accountable, amid demands to apologize and not appear on television again, according to Sky News Arabia.

While Mai Joudeh, through her account on Facebook, denounced the behavior of Youssef Al-Husseini, saying: “We are facing an epidemic that will spread to the soul, and the Ministry of Health is informed of a warning that any infection with a cold is treated as a micron and is isolated, and it is sitting in a studio saying I have an micron!”

While Andrew Mohsen wondered through his Facebook account: “Is this the awareness that a very large number of people should see in my media? It is normal for us to go out in the midst of the Corona conditions and at a time when the number of cases is increasing, and we go down to our job because we just deliver a touch of loyalty to a person who has thousands Could millions have written about him and participated in his funeral?”, while another account said: “You are infected and want to transmit the infection to all program workers?”

In the same context; The Egyptian Ministry of Health gave several advice to citizens about catching colds at that time, stressing that even if it was a natural cold, he should be isolated.

And the ministry announced in an official statement the high rates of infection with the Corona virus and its variants, as the number of infected cases yesterday reached 1,197 positive cases.

In statements to the acting Egyptian Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, he said that the currently prevalent variant in Egypt is the Omicron variant, and the Delta variant comes in second place.

He added, during a press conference to announce the developments of Corona, that there was a noticeable increase in the rates of corona infection from this month of January until now, after the situation stabilized since last December 2021.

The most common symptoms of Omicron infection, according to the Egyptian Ministry of Health, are a cold, headache, feeling tired, stress, sneezing, congestion and dryness in the throat that causes pain when swallowing, which is similar to the symptoms of the common cold.
