The Public Prosecution decided to detain the three defendants, deported from the State of Kuwait, for a period of 15 days pending investigations on charges of belonging to a terrorist group, and it also mandated the Public Prosecution to take measures to oppose them in judgments issued against them in absentia.

Security sources had revealed to Al-Masry Al-Youm the identity of the three Egyptian suspects, deported from the Kuwaiti state security apparatus to Egypt.

The sources said that the three defendants belong to the Brotherhood, and court sentences were issued against them for a period of 15 years in absentia in the case of incitement to demolish the Egyptian state’s economy, explaining that one of them works as a textile merchant, the second is a teacher, and the third is a laboratory technician.

Egypt had notified Interpol to arrest them in 2018.

It is noteworthy that the Kuwaiti State Security Agency recently handed over three Egyptian residents to “Interpol” to deport them to Egypt on charges of inciting chaos and calling for demonstrations through social media.

It turned out that these defendants launched an intense campaign recently to incite the Egyptians to deviate from the system and demonstrate against the government of their country, and after the completion of the information, a State Security Investigation Division was formed and arrested them in Farwaniya Governorate, Kuwait, and after the investigations were completed, they were handed over to the Egyptian Interpol.

The sources pointed to intense coordination between the Kuwaiti security authorities and their Egyptian counterparts within the framework of joint agreements for the exchange of criminals.
