AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – The number of coronavirus infections in the Netherlands rose by more than 10,000 in a 24-hour period, setting a new record. This was shown by data released on Sunday by the National Public Health Institute (RIVM).

The RIVM reported 10,203 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The Dutch government imposed partial lockdown measures on October 14 to curb the spread of the virus, including closing all bars and restaurants in the country.
