(MENAFN– Jordan News Agency) Washington, Jan. 28 (Petra) – Gold prices fell in the US global market today, Friday, deepening their losses for the third consecutive day, hitting their lowest level in three weeks, on their way to incurring the largest weekly loss in 2022.
And the Wall Street Journal reported that this decline came due to the broad rise in the levels of the US dollar against a basket of global currencies, after the Federal Reserve announced the approach of raising interest rates in the United States. Gold prices fell by 0.4 percent to $1,789.92, from the opening level of trading today at $1,797.47, and recorded the highest level at $1,799.40.
