The summit comes as the solar energy sector continues to expand at an accelerating pace, with it expected that the production capacity of solar cells around the world will grow more than 4 times to reach 3100 GW, while the wind energy capacity will grow nearly 2.5 times to reach 1850 GW by 2040.
