US electric car maker Tesla is recalling more than 475,000 cars in the US, equivalent to its total worldwide sales last year as a whole, due to technical issues that increase the risk of accidents.
And the Bloomberg news agency indicated that Tesla plans to recall all Model 3 cars built between 2017 and 2020, which amounts to 356,309 cars.
The US National Traffic Safety Administration stated that the camera cable may be damaged as a result of opening and closing the tailgate, which prevents the image from appearing on the display in front of the driver.
Tesla has also decided to recall as many as 119,000 Model S cars assembled as of 2014 due to a faulty front hood lock, which could cause it to open unexpectedly.
Tesla said it would fix both bugs for free.
Earlier this year, Tesla fixed the computer application in more than 285,000 cars in China. Most of these cars were delivered in recent years to treat problems related to car security, according to the Chinese regulatory authorities.
