Prices of gas futures contracts in Europe fell today, Friday, by more than 25% compared to yesterday, as contracts were traded below the level of $1,200 per thousand cubic meters of gas.

And by 15:03 Moscow time, gas futures for next January fell on the Dutch TTF index, by 25% to $ 1,162.6 per thousand cubic meters.

The decline came after gas prices in Europe recorded on December 21 their highest level in history, reaching $2190.4 per thousand cubic meters.
