Denmark’s Vestas, the world’s largest maker of wind turbines, said yesterday that it had had a cyber security incident and shut down its IT systems at several business units and sites to contain the problem.

The company said that the incident occurred on November 19, and that customers, employees and others may be affected by the shutdown of the company’s systems.

The company did not provide details about the nature of the accident.
