Xpeng plans to launch the next generation of ADAS for drivers in select cities during the first half of 2022.

The Xpilot 3.5 will have “Navigational Controlled Pilot (NGP)” and will only be available to drivers of the Xpeng P5 family sedan which can be built with millimeter wave radar, a 3D visual perception network that can recognize, classify and position multiple targets – all critical to driving within City.
Xpilot 3.5 will feature a strategic planning module with advanced predictive capabilities that uses a combination of rules-based and data-driven AI to handle inner-city driving scenarios such as avoiding stationary objects, vulnerable road users, and changing lanes at any speed.
