Official data showed today (Thursday) that German industrial output fell much more than expected in August as disruptions in supply chains hamper growth in Europe’s largest economy.
The Federal Statistics Office said that industrial output fell by four percent on a monthly basis, after increasing by 1.3 percent in July, according to the “Reuters” news agency.
A Reuters poll had indicated a decline of 0.4 percent in August.
