The youth of the Forum for Democracy have members who express themselves anti-Semitic and homophobic and who have Nazi sympathies. This is evident from new screenshots of app groups, in the possession of Het Parool, posts on an Instagram account, and conversations with anonymous sources.

Earlier this year came out that the three party members for extremist statements had expelled a appgroep were suspended three others. But little seems to have changed since then. The question is whether Freek Jansen, chairman of the JFvD and seventh on the list for the House, it would really make a clean sweep. For example, one of the radical JFvD’ers was not expelled, but was appointed coordinator of the JFvD in South Holland in September.

It concerns a 23-year-old political communication student who claimed in an app group that ‘Jews have international pedo networks and are helping women en masse into pornography’. He also stated that ‘National Socialism had the best economic formula ever’.

“Is this wise?”

Concerned JFvD’ers asked their board this spring to expel the student in question and seventeen others. But then the whistleblowers themselves were dealt with harshly. At least five of them were expelled, including the regional coordinators in South Holland.

In a letter from the board of the JFvD, the five were accused of playing an ‘inciting role’. They allegedly leaked “defamatory material” to the press with the “apparent intent of damaging the JFvD’s reputation.”

The 23-year-old student who made the anti-Semitic statements was subsequently appointed in South Holland. In June of this year, he made himself heard again in the app group ‘Hub Zuid-Holland’, in which Member of Parliament Gideon van Meijeren is also active. He posted a link to a video with the text ‘Meine Ehre heisst Treue’, the motto of the SS.

Another app group member wondered: ‘Is it wise to promote videos with the mottos of the Wehrmacht and the Schutzstaffel respectively’? The person addressed did not respond and a moment later texted: “I believe that the racist seems more and more honorable towards the non-racist fellow human beings.”

The student does not respond to a telephone request for a response: according to him, we are ‘wrongly connected’. He does not reply to a message.

Report from Germany

Another JFvD member with extreme views was promoted to organizer of the FvD summer camp in the Ardennes this summer. During the 2019 camp, he stood out as a regular participant because he played clearly audible SS songs on his phone. He manages the anonymous Instagram account ‘FryslanSaksisch’ and calls himself ‘Germanist’ and ‘Völkisch’.

This summer he reported on that account of a trip through Germany, during which he visited a museum with Nazi paraphernalia. With a photo of the book The subhuman he wrote: ‘Had the honor to see this classic masterpiece in real life’. In this anti-Semitic hate writing from 1942 Jews were portrayed as’ plague bacilli “and as” spiritual lower order than animals. ”

At a photo of SS knives he tapped ‘Loyalty is my honour‘. A number of photos were removed by Instagram on October 4, 2020 ‘because of violence or dangerous organizations’. He does not respond by telephone to his statements because he ‘has to take a test’. He refers to the Forum press officer.

Word joke

One of the followers of ‘Fryslan Saxon’ is Iem al Biyati, a European Studies student who, according to her LinkedIn account, works at the Forum party office. In a response, Al Biyati says she follows ‘up to 400’ Instagram accounts and does not know what it is about. She performs in the FvD news, where she presents the ‘Biemjournaal’, such as on September 20 when she interviewed party leader Thierry Baudet about Prinsjesdag. She is national coordinator of the JFvD and was co-organizer of the summer camp. In August she posed in dirndlkostuum next Freek Jansen – in lederhosen – during a gathering in the Ardennes.

Al Biyati is one of the JFvD’ers about who earlier this year was reported by concerned young people within JFvD. In an app group she answered ‘this is the most desirable’ when someone texted that he wanted ’95 percent white and 0 percent Muslims in the Netherlands. She also wrote – in his own words as “pun”: “You give gay people equal your finger and they take your whole leg. She placed in one of the app groups the music that the far-right Australian terrorist played on his way to two mosques in New Zealand’s Christchurch where he murdered 51 people. “That was kind of an edgy joke,” she says now.

In addition to the document with leaked screenshots, the board of FvD has seen other documents that showed that Al Biyati was also active in other radical app groups in November 2019, in which one of the attendees used anti-Semitic texts. Another shared a pamphlet from the extreme right-wing organization Outpost, shortly after Al Biyati had placed a call for an intern at the Senate faction of FvD.

Al Biyati says she can’t follow all the threads in the many app groups in which she posts. She agrees that ‘disgusting things’ have been said in app groups, but says she wants to ‘have nothing to do with it anymore’.

Altrightscene

Not only members of the JFvD shared racist and anti-Semitic statements, chairman Freek Jansen himself also spread extreme right-wing ideas. At a JFvD conference, he spoke of the need for “domination” to save our civilization from impending doom. The speech was full of allusions to the altrights scene, the global radical right movement.

Jansen also was discredited because he claimed his former employer, the clerk of the municipality of Westland, would have expressed praise for the Third Reich. An anonymous employee supported in HP / The Time the charges of the clerk, Jansen himself, dismissed them as ‘ridiculous and slanderous’.

Harm Ede Botje and Mischa Cohen recently published the book My opinions are facts; The genesis of Thierry Baudet.

Reaction

Two of the members of JFvD mentioned in this article have been entered anonymously because they are not official employees of the party and do not appear so. They were both asked for comment but declined to respond. Chairman of the JFvD Freek Jansen refers to the press officer of Forum for Democracy. He says he finds it ‘all very annoying’. As a result of previously leaked texts, talks were held in May in which JFvD’ers expressed regret and ‘some almost had to cry,’ said the spokesman. For privacy reasons, he does not wish to comment on the new information in this article. According to the spokesman, Thierry Baudet wants ‘nothing to do with all this’.
