Medicago is an adequate vaccine for Corona for all Canadians

Ottawa – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a deal to obtain 76 million doses of the first possible anti-Covid-19 vaccine made in Canada, a quantity sufficient for all Canadians if the vaccine proves effective.
Medicago is being developed in the company’s unique plant-based laboratories in Quebec City.
The value of the deal with Medicago Laboratories amounted to 173 million Canadian dollars (132 million US dollars), and it comes after Ottawa signed similar deals with the pharmaceutical companies, “AstraZeneca”, “Sanofi”, “GSK”, “Novavax”, “Junoson and Johnson” And “Pfizer” and “Moderna”, bringing the total number of doses that can be acquired by 385 million.
Canada has a population of 38 million people, each of whom can receive two doses of any potential vaccine that proves its efficacy.
“When any vaccine is ready, Canada will be,” Trudeau said during a press conference.
An official statement said that the vaccine is “the first potential and domestically developed that the Canadian government has guaranteed access to.”
Canadian pharmaceutical companies usually provide safety and efficacy data at the end of clinical trials to Health Canada for evaluation, a procedure that can take years.
But the Canadian government hopes to deliver the vaccine to Canadians as soon as possible, given the serious threat and the dire economic consequences of the COVID-19 outbreak.
As of Friday, more than 210,000 Canadians had contracted the Coronavirus, and nearly 10,000 had died.
