Two students, on a university break in , were killed in a devastating road accident in Jebel Ali in the early hours of Christmas Day.

Rohit Krishnakumar, 19 , was studying in the UK at the University of Manchester and his friend, Sharat Kumar, 21, was a student at Pardee School of Global Studies in Boston, America.

Both men were originally from Kerala, India, but previously lived in Dubai.

They are believed to have been killed instantly, after meeting up overnight.

Krishnakumar was a former student at GEMS World Academy.

Police are yet to confirm details but sources indicate the car the men were travelling in collided with a tree at around 3am.
