Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed today visited the country's first drive-through Covid-19 test centre set up by Seha, Abu Dhabi Health Services company.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces thanked the medical teams out in the field.
“[They] are the first line of protection of the UAE, their sacrifices safeguard our health,” Sheikh Mohamed said on Twitter.
Seha tweeted that the mobile testing facility for Covid-19 is located in Zayed Sports City where people can be tested in five minutes.
The results will be delivered via sms and the Seha app.
The UAE today reported 63 new cases of coronavirus, taking the total to 468 while 55 patients have recovered since the outbreak began.
A three-day nationwide sterilisation of streets and public transport that took place during the weekend has been extended until Sunday, April 5.
Members of the Civil Defence, municipalities, police, military and the hundreds of workers from federal and local organisations took part in the safety initiative.
More than 500 volunteers in the country have stepped up to help out essential workers in a number of sectors over the past few weeks.
