The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced on Friday that it conducted 293,212 additional COVID-19 tests and detected 2,223 new coronavirus cases.

The new cases bring the total number of infections in the UAE to 622,532.

The Ministry statement said all infected individuals belong to various nationalities and are in a stable condition after receiving the necessary treatment.

The Ministry said that all the tests were conducted over the past 24 hours using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

The total number of deaths due coronavirus in the country reached to 1,782 after ministry announced 7 more deaths due to virus complications.

The Ministry statement further said that 2,177 individuals had fully recovered from the infection.

The new recoveries bring the total number of patients recovered from the virus infection in the country to 601,308.

Expressing its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased the ministry called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities.

It urged people to adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.
