The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team-Ajman issued a decision to allow the resumption of parties and weddings in hotels and wedding halls as of next June 1.

The step aims to facilitate the social life to the community and enable people to celebrate with commitment to the conditions and preventive measures that ensure the safety and health of all who attend these events.

To organise a wedding or a social event, a set of conditions must be abided by, such as the number of people present inside the hall must not exceed 100 and that the maximum number of people seated at each table is 5 with the adherence to physical distancing.

All attendees and workers present at the event must have completed COVID-19 vaccination, which will be shown on the Al Hosn application.

The Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team-Ajman stressed the need to commit to applying precautionary measures in order to preserve the health and safety of all.

There will be no leniency in implementing the law and imposing financial fines on violators, the officials said.

Recently, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) highlighted the importance of vaccination as an effective instrument in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, especially as new variants continue to emerge.

The ministry said it is continuing its efforts to vaccinate all target segments of society, to boost their immunity and prevent further infections.

The ministry, in cooperation with local health authorities, offers vaccination services across hundreds of centres around the country, as well as home services to help vaccinate those with medical conditions preventing them from travelling to vaccination centres.

The ministry identified seven such categories, namely active cases infected with COVID-19, volunteers in COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials, pregnant women, people vaccinated outside of the country, people who have previously contracted COVID-19 following a medical assessment, people who have severe allergies to vaccines or vaccine ingredients, and people with diseases proven to interact negatively with the vaccine.
