The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) reported 1,843 new coronavirus cases, 1,506 recoveries ad 2 deaths on Friday.

Using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment, the ministry said it conducted 198,135 additional COVID-19 tests in the last 24 hours.

In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

MoHAP has recorded 493, 266 positive cases in the UAE since the outbreak. 476,518 have recovered and 1, 547 passed away.
