Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City, District One - part of the master development Meydan - organised a “Family Fun Run” to encourage residents and their families to engage in a healthy and active lifestyle.

The run, for which strict safety measures were in place, started at the Show Village near the Crystal Lagoon beach area and finished at District One community.

All participants, including children, parents, senior citizens, and c One staff members, had a fun-filled day with a range of engaging activities, including competitions, arts and crafts, a bouncy castle and sweet treats for children.

A spokesman said: “We were very excited to host the ‘Family Fun Run’ for our community members to encourage them to make the most of the good weather and enjoy the outdoors.

“Staying active is vital for physical and mental wellbeing, and this event motivated District One residents to adopt a healthy lifestyle and take a break from their busy lives to enjoy time with family.”

Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City, District One is an exclusive residential destination situated in the heart of Dubai within the Meydan Freezone on Al Khail road.

The luxurious and elegant lifestyle community is set amidst natural surroundings. It brings together a 7km crystal lagoon, a 14km boardwalk, sweeping parklands and breath-taking architecture.

The lavish community offers the most central freehold villa, mansions and residences in the heart of the city’s centre.

Recently, the Department of Community Development (DCD) in Abu Dhabi announced the formation of the “Family and Child Protection Committee” which aims to protect families and children as well as evaluate Abu Dhabi’s systems and processes related to addressing their concerns.

The announcement coincided with the “Emirati Children’s Day” which is being celebrated every year on March 15, in line with the Federal Law No. 3 of 2016 concerning child rights.
