The Best Early Black Friday Headphone Deals To Get Now: Top...

This story is part of Christmas gift guide 2020, CNET’s gift selection with expert advice, reviews, and recommendations for the latest tech gifts for you and your family.

The early one Black Friday offers are in full swing. If you’ve been thinking about buying new headphones, some of the deals listed here apply to some of our favorite models. And discounts aren’t limited to one type of headphone – there are deals on over-ear, on-ear, noise-canceling, and wireless headphones.

In some cases, prices for products hit their all-time lows or even drop to all-time lows. Here are the best deals on headphones. I will update this list as more models become available for sale or offers expire.

The Beats Powerbeats Pro regularly cost $ 200 and sometimes get a slightly better discount, but $ 160 for certain colors (red, yellow, and moss green) is near the lowest price we’ve ever seen. Read our Beats Powerbeats Pro review.

Sony’s latest noise-canceling headphones – and arguably the best noise-canceling headphones – were recently sold for $ 300 on Amazon’s Prime Day. They’re now available for $ 278, the lowest price ever. Read our Sony WH-1000XM4 review.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live earbuds came out a few months ago and are already being discounted. It’s not a huge discount ($ 30), but it’s almost 20% off. They may have the most innovative design of the year and I rated them highly, even though the noise cancellation is relatively low. A warming: while they fit my ears very well because of their shape, they don’t work for everyone.

The Beats Solo Pro are very good on-ear noise-canceling headphones. The only problem is they are overpriced at $ 300. At $ 180, they’re downright tempting. This is below the previous $ 200 retail price we saw a few weeks ago, but a bit above the $ 170 we saw earlier. Read our Beats Solo Pro review.

Bose’s Noise Canceling 700 headphones ($ 379) are the company’s current flagship noise-canceling headphones. In the past few weeks, however, we’ve noticed that the older, but arguably more comfortable QuietComfort 35 IIs are getting big discounts. $ 199 is the lowest price we’ve seen for it.

Note that Sony may also get some great discounts with its new WH-1000XM4 at $ 278 when we go on vacation. Read our QuietComfort 35 II review.

Sony

If you can’t afford Sony’s WH-1000XM4, the company’s entry-level WH-CH710N noise-canceling headphones have dropped to $ 88 after hitting $ 100 recently. They don’t offer the sound quality, build quality, or noise-canceling performance of Sony’s 1000X models, but they are good value for money for $ 88. I don’t think they’re worth anywhere near $ 200 at their list price.

The $ 150 Jabra Elite 85h is an inexpensive alternative to more expensive premium noise-canceling headphones from Bose and Sony. It offers good sound, a comfortable fit, and great voice call performance, which makes it a good option for working from home. Read our Jabra Elite 85h review.

Jabras Elite Active 75t is the slightly more rugged version of the Elite 75t that is also available for sale ($ 140 or $ 40 off). Both models are some of the best true wireless earbuds out there and can now be upgraded with active noise cancellation via a software upgrade. (New models that recently hit stores may already have the upgrade.)

The Elite Active 75t looks almost identical to the Elite 75t, but if you take a closer look, you’ll notice that the finish of the case and earbuds are slightly different. Instead of the hard, smooth finish of the Elite Active 75t, the Active 75t has a soft finish with a touch of grip. Or, as Jabra put it, “they have a permanent coating for dust and sweat resistance and have an increased IP water resistance from IP56 (the Elite Active 75t) to IP57, making them waterproof.” Read our Jabra Elite Active 75t test.

This is the lowest price we’ve seen for the Jaybird Vista, a very good set of true wireless sports earbuds that really click into your ears (they’re some of the top picks for runners) and are completely waterproof. The Vista has been out of stock for a while, so it needs to be updated – maybe that’s why it is offered at the lowest price – but if a new model comes out soon it will likely cost around $ 180. Amazon (linked below) has discounted the gray model; If you want “planetary green” get it from Jaybird. Read our Jaybird Vista review.
