Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a gen-spanning advancement for PS5, Xbox Series...
When Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is released next month, it will support cross-gen advancement for the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.

Earlier this week, Ubisoft introduced Ubisoft Connect, the new platform package in UPlay and Ubisoft Club as an optimized initiative. This new system uses cloud storage to support cross-generic advancement for several Ubisoft games, one of which is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

This is combined very well with free next-generation upgrades for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, including Ubisoft games, among other things. So if you buy Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on current generation platforms in November next month and later decide to buy a next generation console, you’ll get a free copy of the game right away and pick up right where you left off.

Ubisoft Connect has not yet started. Ubisoft’s new platform will be released on November 10th for both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S and a few days later on November 15th for the PS5. That makes it a launch day initiative for the Xbox consoles, but not for Sony’s next-gen console, as it will arrive a few days after the latter console launches on November 12th.

It’s now less than a month until Assassin’s Creed Valhalla launches on November 10th. Ubisoft has postponed the game’s launch for a week to match the Xbox Series X / S, for which Valhalla is a launch day title. The game is also a port for the first day PS5, available a few days later when Sony’s next generation console launches on November 12th.
