Ubisoft announces post-launch plans for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla

With the upcoming launch, Ubisoft has presented its plans for Assassin’s Creed: Walhalla after the start.

The plans consist of paid and free content across multiple seasons. The post-launch content will be released from December with the start of the first season. Every three months a new season begins with new content, settlements, game modes and much more.

Paid content in Assassin’s Creed: Walhalla will come in the form of two major expansions and an additional quest. The first start will be The legend of Beowulf Mission that will be available on launch day and as part of the game’s Season Pass. The quest will task players with uncovering the truth behind the legend of Beowulf.

The first major expansion will start in spring 2021. Wrath of the Druids will bring players to Ireland where they will discover a new way of life in Dublin City. There, the games will examine a riddle around a local Druid cult and guide players through a story of myth and folklore.

The starting shot will be given in summer 2021 The siege of Paris based on one of the key battles in Viking history. Players will infiltrate the city of Paris in an explosive series of quests that will guide them through the insatiable event.

Outside of paid expansinos, various free content drops are released in the months after launch. The first season starts in December and will add a new settlement area, the Christmas festival, a new mode called The River Raids, and a new ranking system for the player’s Jomsviking lieutenant.

After launch, new player skills and abilities, weapons and equipment, and cosmetic items for the settlement such as the long ship, horse and raven will also be added. The fan-favorite discovery mode is also returning, allowing players to explore and learn more about the Viking world.
