Oppo F17 Pro Diwali Edition revealed, it will be official on...

Oppo presented the Oppo F17 Pro in India last month. The introduction of special editions of the existing devices is nothing new for Oppo, and the F17 Pro will be the next device to be considered with this treatment. The company is preparing to launch the new Oppo F17 Pro Diwali Edition on October 19th. While the price of the new handset remains a mystery, the company launched a teaser campaign to build the hype for the handset. The Diwali Special Edition will have a matte gold color that is a direct nod to the festival.

A separate image has even been posted on the official Oppo website in India, giving us a fresh look at the gold-toned Oppo F17 Pro Diwali Edition. In contrast to the other versions, this special variant does not have a vertical stripe like the other colors. Interestingly, this is not the most conventional gradient effect. We have a gold-to-aqua gradient that may not be very “harmonious” to all eyes. But we have to say that it is quite original.

Technical details of the Oppo F17 Pro Diwali Edition

The Oppo F17 Pro can be delivered with the same specifications as the Vanilla Edition. Under the hood there might be a MediaTek Helio P95 octa-core chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device shows a 6.43-inch FHD + AMOLED display with a pill-shaped hole.

In the camera department, we have a dual camera setup on the front with a 16 megapixel main shooter with an aperture of f / 2.4. Portrait selfies benefit from a secondary depth sensor with 2 MP resolution and f / 2.4 aperture. On the back is a quad camera setup on top of a square array. It consists of a 48MP Quad Bayer camera with an aperture of 1: 1.8. There is an ultra-wide module with a resolution of 8 MP and an aperture of 1: 2.2. Last but not least, there are two 2MP mono sensors for depth measurement.

The phone is powered by a 4,015 mAh battery with a very satisfactory 30W fast charge. In the software we have the Android 10-based ColorOS 7.2. However, it is one of the few devices to receive an early ColorOS 11 update that brings Android 11.

In India, the company sells Matte Black, Magic Blue and Metallic White at a price of INR 22,990 (~ $ 315 / € 265). The Oppo F17 Pro Diwali Edition can be offered in the same range, if not a little more expensive.
