Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is finally getting options to uninstall...
Infinity Ward’s latest patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare finally gives PC gamers the option to uninstall certain game modes. A tweet from Paul Haile, director of production at Infinity Ward, revealed that the update would include the coveted feature.

The PC version of Modern Warfare requires a huge 225 GB of hard drive space. While the console versions of the game require a similar amount of storage space, these versions allow players to uninstall modes that are not being used, which reduces the hard drive footprint.

Before Call of Duty was made exclusively for the Blizzard Launcher on PC, many Steam versions of Call of Duty games were split into two library entries for campaign and multiplayer. This helped to reduce the installation space, but the function was missing from the last entries. Thankfully, this update gives players more control. For those with limited hard drive space remaining, this new system can free up enough gigabytes to install the Black Ops Cold War Beta that hits PC this Thursday.
