Turkish Cup – Karim Hafez featured as Kasimpasa secured qualification to the next round with a 2-2 draw (4-3 on aggregate) against Van Spor Kulubu. Kasimpasa’s next clash will be against Gaziantep on Dec.21.

Mahmoud Trezeguet & Ahmed Elmohamady – Aston Villa, Mohamed Salah – Liverpool (England)

EFL Cup – Trezeguet and Elmohamady both assisted, while Salah missed as the Villans thrashed Liverpool 5-0 to book a spot in the tournament’s semi-finals against Leicester City. Villa are set to face Southampton on the 21st of December in the Premier League.

December 18

Mohamed Elneny – Besiktas (Turkey)

Turkish Cup – Elneny was excluded from squad as the Black Eagles suffered a 2-0 defeat against 24 Erzincanspor, yet they qualified to the next round with a 3-2 aggregate score. Besiktas next encounter will be against Fenerbahce in an anticipated derby match on Dec.22.

Super League – Warda found the back of the net in his team’s disappointing 4-1 defeat against Olympiacos in the league’s 15th fixture. After being 4-0 down, the Egyptian pulled one back in the 56th minute to remain sixth with 19 points ahead of their encounter against Panionios on Dec.22.

Ahmed Hassan ‘Kouka’ – Sporting Braga (Portugal)

Taça de Portugal – Kouka continued to miss as Braga got knocked out from the Cup, after a 2-1 loss against Giant Benfica. After taking the lead through an own goal, Benfica turned things around through two goals from Pizzi and Vinicius. Braga will face Pacos De Ferreira on the 22nd of December.

December 21

Karim Hafez – Kasimpasa (Turkey)

Super Lig – The Egyptian fullback was an unused substitute in Kasimpasa’s 4-3 defeat against Ganziantep in the 16th fixture. Kasimpasa’s efforts to complete the comeback were not enough after conceding four goals in the first half. The team’s next encounter will be against Istanbul Basaksehir on the 28th of December.

Mahmoud Trezeguet & Ahmed Elmohamady – Aston Villa (England)

Premier League – Trezeguet came on as a second half substitute, meanwhile, Elmohamady remained on the bench as the Villans suffered another league defeat, when they fell 3-1 against Southampton. Danny Ings netted a brace for the Saints and Jack Grealish scored Villa’s only goal in the 75th minute. After the loss, the Villans remain in the relegation zone as they sit 18th with 15 points before hosting Norwich City on Dec.26.

Ahmed Hegazi – West Bromwich Albion (England)

Championship – Hegazi excluded from squad as the Baggies were held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford in the 23rd league fixture. Henrik Dalsgaard opened the scoring for Brentford in the 43rd minute and Darnell Furlong scored the leveler just two minutes later. After the draw, West Brom remain on top of the league table with 50 points and will face Barnsley on the 26th.

December 22

Super League – Warda scored as Larisa secured an important 2-0 victory against Panionios in the 16th league fixture, to reach fifth spot with 22 points. Fatjon Andoni broke the deadlock in the 17th minute and Warda doubled things up ahead of the break. The Crimsons’ are set to face Xanthi in the next fixture on the 5th of January.

Mohamed Elneny – Besiktas (Turkey)

Super Lig – Fenerbahce defeated Besiktas 3-1 in the Turkish Derby as Elneny was shown a yellow card in the 77th minute. Atiba Hutchinson scored the only goal for the visitors, however, it was not enough to save his side from the disappointing defeat. The Black Eagles next encounter will be against Genclerbirligi on Dec.27.

December 23

Sam Morsy – Wigan (England)

Championship – Morsy featured in Wigan’s goalless draw against Blackburn Rovers in the 23rd fixture of the Championship to drop to the 23rd spot with 19 points ahead of their critical clash against Derby County on the 26th of December.
