Thank you for reading the news about Bilic explains Hegazi’s absence from West Brom squad amid Ittihad links and now with the details
West Brom manager Slaven Billic has explained the reason behind Ahmed Hegazi’s absence, saying it was due to an incident in training.
Hegazi was left out of West Brom’s squad that drew 1-1 against Brentford in the Championship on Saturday.
The 28-year-old was recently linked to Jeddah giants Ittihad as it was reported that the Saudi Pro League outfit had a rejected bid for Hegazi.

Speaking about Hegazi’s exclusion from the squad, Bilic revealed that Ittihad’s interest played a role in his decision to not include the Egyptian, saying: “It has something to do with that.
“Something happened yesterday on the training ground. It is not something I want to share or discuss with the media.
“It’s a little thing, but it was something that was big enough for him to be not in the squad today,” he added.
Despite getting injured at the start of the season, Hegazi has made only three appearances for West Brom this season.
The Baggies are currently top of the Championship table with 50 points after 23 games played, three points ahead of Leeds United.
