Thank you for reading the news about CAF Super Cup to be hosted by Qatar for the next three years and now with the details

- Yasmine El Tohamy - CAF have announced that the CAF Super Cup will be hosted by Qatar for the next three after reaching an agreement with the Qatar Football Association.

CAF president Ahmed Ahmed signed an agreement with the president of Qatar Football Association, Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed, to host the CAF Super Cup in February 2020.

The Super Cup is set to be played between the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup winners Zamalek and 2019 CAF Champions League winners Espérance Sportive de Tunis.

This decision will spark conflict between CAF and Zamalek officials as president Mortada Mansour announced several times his preference to play the CAF Super Cup in Africa, refusing to travel to Qatar.

As it stands, the White Knights and ES Tunis are set to fly on 14 February to Qatar’s capital Doha for the CAF Super Cup.

It’s worth mentioning that last year’s CAF Super Cup was held in Qatar where Morocco’s Raja Casablanca claimed the title after defeating ES Tunis.
