- Yasmine El Tohamy - French manager Sebastian Desabre has taken to Twitter to post his farewell message to Pyramids following his dismissal by the club during the week, assuring that the club management has got a ‘long term vision’.

Pyramids had sacked Desabre as their manager following a poor run of results in the Egyptian Premier League this season.

The Cairo-based side are currently seventh in the Egyptian Premier League table with 12 points after eight games played.

The 43-year-old managed Pyramids in 19 games, winning 12, drawing four games, losing three, including the Egypt Cup final against Zamalek.

“As always working in Egypt was an honour. Unfortunately, football is impatient and we have to accept it,” Desabre posted on Twitter.

“I wish good luck to the team for the next challenges. I also thank the owners of the club who have ambitious and long term vision to make Pyramids FC a stable and successful institution. See you soon on the field!”

It is worth mentioning that Pyramids have appointed former Al Ahly head coach Abdel-Aziz Abdel-Shafy as an interim manager until settling on the name of the new coach.
