Amer Hussein, a member of the Egyptian Football Association, spoke about filing an appeal against the penalties imposed after the events of the Morocco match, as well as the position of the Al-Ahly and El-Gouna match against the postponement.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the suspension of Marouane Daoud for two matches and Roger de Sa for four matches. (see details)

Amer Hussein said, via Sada Al-Balad: “We are preparing an appeal with the legal affairs of the Football Association to send it to the Confederation of African Football against the sanctions it imposed on us after the Morocco match.”

And he continued: “My statements regarding Marwan Daoud’s punishment were not in the sense that he was a scapegoat for other players, because naturally the winning team is calmer. What we learned is that Marwan Daoud did not do anything.”

And about announcing the league table until the end of the first round, he said: “Preparing the league table was very difficult because of the days of the Champions League and Confederation matches, and we put all the possibilities.”

And he added, “We put spaces for the delays in the schedule.”

And he continued, “The match between Al-Ahly and El-Gouna, set for February 12, may be postponed. In the event that Al-Ahly qualified for the last day of the Club World Cup, the match will be postponed.”

And he concluded, “If Al-Ahly is bid farewell early, he will play the match, because Al-Ahly will face Al-Hilal of Sudan in the Champions League on February 18.”

If Al-Ahly beats Monterrey, Mexico, it will play the semi-final match on February 9th. If it wins or loses, it will continue its campaign until the last day of the tournament on February 12th.

If Al-Ahly loses to the Mexican team, it will play the fifth place match on February 9th.
