Libya coach Javier Clemente stressed that his team will not be afraid of Egypt, despite acknowledging the strength of the Pharaohs.

The Egyptian national team will host its Libyan counterpart on October 8th in Burj Al Arab, before the meeting will be repeated at Al-Shuhada Stadium in Libya on October 11th.

Clemente said in video statements: “The Egyptian team is the strongest team in the group, so it is difficult to face it twice within 3 days, because Egypt has a large number of distinguished players.”

“We will play with great enthusiasm and I trust all the players and know that they will play excellent matches against Egypt,” the Spanish coach added.

He continued, “I know the Egyptian national team well, I know the Egyptian players in Europe, and I am always ready.”

He continued, “I watched the friendly match between Egypt and Liberia, but it was a friendly match. Liberia played according to its level, and we will play in another way.”

And Clemente added, “We should not be afraid of the Egyptian team. We know how strong it is on the African continent, but we will not be afraid of the Pharaohs.”

He concluded, “There are many circumstances that constitute an obstacle for the players of the Libyan national team, but they have great enthusiasm, and I am confident in their enthusiasm to overcome all the obstacles they face.”

Egypt is in second place in the group with 4 points, behind the leaders Libya with 6 points.
