Liverpool have asked English Premier League officials to postpone the kick-off against Watford until late to give Latin players some time to return and participate.

Liverpool will meet Watford in the opening matches of the eighth week of the English Premier League, October 16, at 12:30 pm England time.

Liverpool asked to postpone the match to be played at 7:45 pm England time.

The duo Fabinho Alisson Becker will play with the Brazilian national team their last match in the next international break against Uruguay, 24 hours before the Watford match.

According to the Telegraph, Watford rejected the request for a delay because the fans would have already made travel plans and that it would be an inconvenience to them.

If the request is refused, the Liverpool duo will not be available to participate in the match against Watford unless the last match with Brazil is not played against Uruguay.

Reports indicated that Liverpool had prepared a special plane to transport the players from Manaus to the Liverpool training headquarters if the start of the match was postponed.

Roberto Firmino has not been called up to the Brazil camp and will therefore naturally be with Liverpool against Watford.

Liverpool is in second place in the English Premier League with 15 points.
