American runner Sidney McLaughlin won the women’s 400-meter hurdles gold medal in the athletics competitions at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, on Wednesday.
McLaughlin finished the race in 51.46 seconds, breaking the world record time for the race.
The other American, Dalilah Muhammad, came in second with a time of 51.58 seconds to win the silver medal.
While the Dutch FMk Paul finished the race in third place with a time of 52.03 seconds to win the bronze medal.
